Women in Science House (WiSH)

WiSH opened in 2006 and is the longest continually run Living Learning Center at St. Mary’s College.

It was formed to provide a space for students to create programming that supports women and other gender minorities in STEM majors. Students who live in WiSH earn educational course credit for their activities which include weekly WiSH Teas with STEM faculty.

WiSHers work on many outreach projects each semester in the campus and local communities. Dr Hamman and Dr Torres-Martinez are the Assistant Professors of Biology and the faculty advisors of WiSH.

Contact Assistant Professor Dr Hamman about joining WiSH
