The College Report Form is a document filled out by the registrar or Dean of Students at your current or most recent university or college. The form indicates that you are in good standing with the institution. Click here to download the form.<\/a><\/p>\n Transcripts submitted directly to us by the school\/electronic transcript service are official. If you send us the transcript, it is unofficial.<\/p>\n Your school can send your official transcript to admissions@smcm.edu<\/a>. If your school only can send it by snail mail. It must be in a sealed envelope stamped “Official”. Our mailing address is:<\/p>\n St. Mary’s College of Maryland<\/strong> Yes, please send them to the address above.<\/p>\n For AP credits, you need to request that the College Board send your scores. For IB credits, please have the International Baccalaureate send the scores to the Registrar’s Office at Registrar@smcm.edu.<\/a><\/p>\n Your professor\/advisor\/author of the letter will need to send us the letter of recommendation. It can be mailed or sent to admissions@smcm.edu\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n The Academic Evaluation is a letter of recommendation from one of your most recent professors. If you have been out of school for an extended period of time, you can substitute this requirement with a letter of recommendation from an employer, supervisor, etc.<\/p>\n If you have completed 24 or more credits at the college level, you do not need to provide your SAT or ACT scores, or your high school transcripts. If you are under the 24 credit threshold, they must be submitted with your application.<\/p>\n Transfer students are guaranteed housing on campus for their time at St. Mary\u2019s. Typically, transfer students are placed in suite-style housing with other transfer students, or a mix of new transfer students and other upperclassman. Students who transfer in with fewer than 24 credits, or who are of an age with first years and sophomores may be placed in dorm-style housing with other sophomore students.<\/p>\n The Transfer Registrar completes credit evaluations<\/a> for all incoming enrolled transfer students. Once the credit evaluation is complete, the credits will be reflected in the Student Portal. We also offer unofficial transfer credit evaluation during our Transfer Days, provided your transcript is brought with you.<\/p>\n Note: Students graduating from a Maryland Community College with an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.), Associate of Fine Arts (A.F.A.), or the Associate of Science in Engineering (A.S.E.) degree will have their Core Curriculum foreign language requirement fulfilled as well as the Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ Curriculum requirements. However, these students will still be required to complete CORE 301. Please note that the Foreign Language Placement Exam requirement on your Enrollment Checklist will not be waived until a final transcript is received stating that the Associate\u2019s degree (A.A., A.S., A.A.T., A.F.A., A.S.E.) is completed.<\/p>\n Yes. We will accept a maximum of 70 credit hours from a two-year institution and a maximum of 90 credit hours from a four-year institution.<\/p>\n Yes, there are some courses that you can receive credit for with a CLEP exam. However, there are graduation requirements\u00a0that could affect whether credit is awarded. Only lower level credit can be awarded.<\/p>\n A student must receive a 3 or higher on their AP exam in order to earn credit. Many AP exams earn 4 transfer credits. AP test scores must be sent by College Board to SMCM. Credit cannot be awarded from another school’s transcript.<\/p>\n Once your application is complete, it will be reviewed within two to three weeks. We recommend you read over our application requirements to ensure your application is not missing any necessary documents.<\/p>\n St. Mary\u2019s operates on a rolling admissions basis for transfer students, therefore you may apply at any time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the College Report Form?
