Dodge Performing Arts Center is a vital part of the St. Mary&#8217;s College of Maryland campus, and serves as a focal point for the performing arts not only for the college, but for the community as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>The Nancy R. &amp; Norton T. Dodge Performing Arts Center features the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 700-seat auditorium, which will host a full schedule of performances in the arts for the benefit of students, the College, and the entire surrounding community<\/li>\n<li>A 125-seat recital hall and adjacent rehearsal studios<\/li>\n<li>Classroom and office space for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smcm.edu\/music\/\">Music Department<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-6-4\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-6-4-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-6-4-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_smcm-title panel-first-child\" data-index=\"8\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-smcm-title so-widget-smcm-title-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h2 class=\"smcm-section-title navy\" style=\"\">AIA Maryland Public Building of the <strong>Year<\/strong><\/h2><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-6-4-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-last-child\" data-index=\"9\" >\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><p>The Nancy R. &amp; Norton T. Dodge Performing Arts Center and Learning Commons, both dedicated in September 2022, were named American Institute of Architects (AIA) Maryland&#8217;s Public Buildings of the Year at the organization&#8217;s annual Excellence in Design Awards in 2023. The award acknowledged how aestehetic and functional characteristics of the building perfectly complemented one another, the surrouding campus environment and the facility&#8217;s mission to serve as a cultural hub for the campus and broader community. This rare combination of form and function makes the Nancy R. &amp; Norton T.
