It contains an ultrasound tank and equipment for data acquisition and analysis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-216-4\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-216-4-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-216-4-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_smcm-title panel-first-child\" data-index=\"8\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-smcm-title so-widget-smcm-title-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h2 class=\"smcm-section-title navy\" style=\"\">Advanced Physics <strong>Laboratory<\/strong><\/h2><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-216-4-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-last-child\" data-index=\"9\" >\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><div class=\"alum-entry\">\n<p>The Advanced Physics Laboratory is an instructional space containing optical tables, computers, and a variety of equipment. Experiments performed here include measuring the speed of light, interferometry, imaging, electronics, measuring the lifetime of cosmic ray muons, measuring the gravitational constant, measuring electron charge, and others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-216-5\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-216-5-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-216-5-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_smcm-title panel-first-child\" data-index=\"10\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-smcm-title so-widget-smcm-title-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h2 class=\"smcm-section-title navy\" style=\"\">Atomic Trapping <strong>Laboratory<\/strong><\/h2><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-216-5-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-last-child\" data-index=\"11\" >\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><div class=\"alum-entry\">\n<p>The Atomic Physics Laboratory houses the research activities of Prof. Grossman and his students, along with some instructional experiments. This spaces contains two optical tables, an ultrahigh-vacuum chamber for laser cooling and trapping of atoms, several diode lasers (near-IR and visible), a low-noise\/high-sensitivity\/high-resolution CCD camera, several single-photon-counting modules, optical\/electro-optical\/acousto-optical components, and data acquisition equipment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-216-6\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-216-6-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-216-6-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_smcm-title panel-first-child\" data-index=\"12\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-smcm-title so-widget-smcm-title-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h2 class=\"smcm-section-title navy\" style=\"\">Light Scattering and Atom Trapping <strong>Laboratory<\/strong><\/h2><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-216-6-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-last-child\" data-index=\"13\" >\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><div class=\"alum-entry\">\n<p>The Light Scattering and Atom Trapping Laboratory houses the research activities of Prof. Adler and his students, along with some instructional experiments.
