Alumni Weekend
June 11-14, 2026
Return to the river and reconnect with the place you once called home! This June, join classmates, friends and family for the biggest alumni gathering of the year, and celebrate President Rhonda Phillips’ first Alumni Weekend at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
Over four days, enjoy live music, waterfront activities, the famous crab feast, milestone reunions for classes ending in ‘1’ or ‘6’ and time to reconnect with friends.
All alumni are encouraged to attend and are welcome to include their families. We recommend reviewing the schedule in advance so you can plan your experience. As always, on-campus housing will be in high demand and will fill quickly, so we encourage you to register as early as possible to secure your housing of choice.
Online registration is now closed.
However, walk-up attendees are welcome to join us this year by purchasing an Alumni Weekend wristband for $25. Wristband holders may participate in most events and activities, though some ticketed events may sell out and walk-up pricing may be higher than the preregistration rate.
Additional information will be updated on a rolling basis.
Please check back frequently for updates.

Reunion Year Activities
Like it or not, if you graduated in a year ending in ‘1’ or ‘6,’ it’s your anniversary! To mark the occasion, we’ve planned a couple of special opportunities to celebrate with your classmates.
Classes of 1976 and Earlier
Members of the Class of 1976 are invited to attend the special Golden & Beyond Luncheon with the President on Friday, June 12. All alumni from 1976 and earlier are welcome to attend this exclusive luncheon, and those celebrating an anniversary will receive special recognition during the remarks.
All Anniversary Classes
Alumni celebrating milestone reunions are encouraged to gather with classmates and fellow anniversary alumni at the Saturday evening Anniversary Dessert Reception, featuring a special anniversary flute to keep, a refreshed dessert menu and live music.
On-Campus Housing
We offer three types of on-campus housing options: townhouses, suites and residence hall rooms. Demand for these accommodations is very high, and many options will sell out early in the registration period, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible.
All units will be cleaned by our housekeeping staff and contractors. However, there is a very short window between Commencement and Alumni Weekend, so some aesthetic issues, such as minor floor scuffs, may not be addressed in time. On-campus housing is simple and convenient, but it is not comparable to a hotel experience. If you prefer a higher-end stay, we recommend booking one of the local hotels using our discounted room blocks.
Please note the following when reserving on-campus housing:
- Townhouses, apartments and suites must be booked Friday through Sunday, with the option to add Thursday.
- Residence hall rooms may be booked for one or multiple nights.
- One person in your group must reserve the entire townhouse, suite, or residence hall unit and collect payment from others in the party.
- Townhouses, apartments and suites are limited to one unit per registrant. Additional units must be reserved by another alum in your group.
- Residence hall rooms are limited to four units per registrant.
You can review accessibility-friendly housing details and pricing by clicking the accordion widget below.

Carry Your ID at All Times
This year, you won't need tickets for most meals and activities - just bring your photo ID and wear your wristband. Many of our events will use guest lists to check names at the door, and you'll need your ID for bar access. Please carry your ID and wear your wristband at all times.

Don’t Forget Your Cooler
The townhouses and apartments are the only housing units with refrigerators. If you are staying in the suites or residence halls, don't forget to pick up ice in town on your way to campus.
Park in Designated Lots
To ensure everyone's safety, please park only in designated lots. Cars parked in fire lanes or unauthorized areas will be towed. Additionally, parking lots at Historic St. Mary's City, Trinity Church and along the Waterfront will be closed for church functions and our vendors.
The closest available parking lot to the Waterfront is at the Campus Center. We recommend leaving your car near your housing and using our campus shuttle services to get around campus.
Parking lots and shuttle stops are listed on the pocket guide you will receive at check-in and in the full schedule on the Alumni Weekend website. Look for sign boards along campus paths for active shuttle stop locations.
Follow Alcohol Policies
The St. Mary’s County Alcohol Beverage Board and our liquor liability insurance policy prohibit personal alcohol at any campus event where alcohol is served. Our prices are very reasonable, so please bring your ID, but leave your stash back in your housing.
Protect Your Feet in the River
Oysters are good for the river but bad for your feet. It is highly advised that you wear protective footwear and clean any oyster cuts immediately. .
Leave Pets at Home
We recognize that for many, pets are family members. However, for the safety and comfort of the community, we ask that you please leave your furry friends at home.
Grab Souvenirs at the Campus Store
Alumni (with a wristband) will receive a 20% discount on all St. Mary's College logo merchandise at the Campus Store throughout the weekend. Alumni Weekend logo merchandise will also be sold at DPC. Please leave the event signs, banners and decorations in place for everyone to enjoy.

Before You Register
Who is invited to Alumni Weekend?
All alumni and their families and friends are welcome to attend. Whether you graduated last year or are celebrating your 50th reunion, this weekend is for you. We especially encourage alumni who graduated in years ending in “1” or “6” to return for their milestone reunion.
Do I need to register for Alumni Weekend?
Yes. We strongly encourage everyone to register in advance by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 15. Registering early guarantees you have access to housing, meals and other activities, many of which have limited capacity.
Walk-up registrations will be available, but they are more expensive and availability will be very limited. Some events and housing options may already be sold out. Walk-ups are really intended for those who discover at the last minute that they are able to attend. Registering in advance helps us plan properly and prevents our staff from having to turn people away from sold-out events.
When does registration close?
Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 15. After that, walk-up registrations will still be available during the weekend, but they will cost more and many activities, meals and housing options may already be full. If you know you plan to attend, registering in advance is strongly recommended.
Can walk-ups be accommodated?
Yes, but we highly recommend registering in advance. Walk-up registration exists primarily for alumni whose plans change at the last minute. Prices will be higher and availability will be unpredictable since many activities and housing options may already be sold out. Registering by May 15 ensures the best experience and helps our staff plan for the weekend.
What costs are associated with attending Alumni Weekend?
There is a non-refundable $20 registration fee per attendee, for all ages.
As you may notice once you begin your registration, we have moved to a new event management platform. While building the new registration we discovered it was easier for everyone to simply include many events and services for free, as opposed to the more à la carte approach we've had in previous years. Thank you for understanding that this mandatory fee will help offset these included event costs.
That said, several activities must be purchased in advance through the online registration:
- Golden & Beyond Luncheon
- River Cruises
- Waterfront Dinner
- Alumni Weekend Merchandise
- Campus Housing
Drinks at cash bars, dining hall meals and food truck meals can be purchased on-site.
What overnight accommodations are available?
A limited number of on-campus housing units are available through the online registration, including townhouses, suites and traditional residence hall rooms. These tend to sell out quickly, so we encourage you to book early.
We also have discounted hotel rates available at several properties close to campus. Details are listed above under the Local Hotels section.
What are the dining options during the weekend?
Some meals require payment in advance through the online registration like the Golden & Beyond Luncheon on Friday and the Waterfront Dinner on Saturday. Meals will also be available in the campus dining hall throughout the weekend, and you can pay for them on-site with cash or credit card. In addition, food trucks will be stationed around campus at specific times.
Is Alumni Weekend family friendly?
Yes. We offer many family friendly activities throughout the weekend. Look for the Family Friendly icon in your online schedule or in the pocket guide you will receive at check-in.
What should I wear?
Most Alumni Weekend events are casual. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended since many activities take place outdoors and around campus.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed at Alumni Weekend. However, service animals are welcome. If you plan to bring a service animal, please let our staff know when you check in at Daugherty-Palmer Commons (DPC) so we can make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable visit.
Are personal golf carts, gators, ATVs, motorized bicycles or similar vehicles allowed?
Personal motorized vehicles are not allowed at Alumni Weekend. However, service and mobility assistance devices, such as scooters or wheelchairs, are welcome. If you plan to bring a service device, please let our staff know when you check in at Daugherty-Palmer Commons (DPC) so we can make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable visit.
Registration & Planning Your Visit
Can I attend events if I didn’t register for them in advance?

How do I book campus housing?
On-campus housing reservations are included within the Alumni Weekend registration. One person in the group must reserve the entire townhouse, suite or residence hall room(s) and collect payment from their guests separately.
Can I purchase merchandise on-site?

No. Parking during Alumni Weekend is free.
Is there a campus shuttle?
Yes, and we recommend using it. Please leave your car near your housing and allow our trolley and golf cart shuttle drivers to get you where you need to go. The trolley runs on a continuous loop approximately every 15–20 minutes during scheduled hours. Stops and operating times are listed on the signboards and Schedule of Events.
What happens if it rains?
Alumni Weekend events will take place rain or shine. If severe weather requires adjustments, updates will be shared on the website, through email and through event signage.
