Peer institutions are approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission. Peer institutions are used for comparative analysis and benchmarking of SMCM’s institutional qualities against both similar institutions and institutions that we aim to be more similar to.
Aspirant Peers
The institutions included in the Aspirant Peers group are colleges and universities that SMCM aspires to become more like. This is accomplished by looking at Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This list of colleges may have KPIs that are higher than SMCM’s.
Current Performance Peers
SMCM’s peer institutions are colleges or universities that are comparable with SMCM. These peer institutions share numerous commonalities with SMCM, including size, enrollment, and program offerings, etc.
